Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join our team.

Travel Requirements: On-site, client facility

Essential Functions:

• Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary engineering/construction teams
• Coordination of design and construction for new, large-sized projects
• Coordination of in-house engineers (subject matter experts - SMEs) with outside engineering consultants during design
• Coordination of SMEs, outside engineering consultants, and construction contractors during construction as necessary for successful project completion within the policy guidelines.
• Become familiar with client Standards and Guidelines including Major Capital Projects Planning Policy (MCPPP) and Global Construction Safety Standard (GCSS)
• Ensure client assigned Action Items/Submittals/RFIs are being addressed appropriately to ensure 3rd Parties (i.e. Engineering Partners, Key Vendors/Suppliers, Construction GC) are able to progress towards their commitments
• Ensure all project documentation is being distributed recorded appropriately and recorded/filed appropriately between all parties
• Serve as main point of contact (liaison) between client Technical/Procurement team and 3rd Parties
• Manage relationship with 3rd Parties and ensure they meet their contractual obligations (e.g. scope/schedule/cost)
• Ensure 3rd parties are complying with client standards and guidelines
• Prepare and facilitate multi-discipline meetings as needed (ensure meeting minutes are taken and distributed)
• Drive engineering to completion (IFC level construction bid packages)
• Confirm organization and assembly of bid packages meet industry standard requirements
• Identify/resolve gaps in communication between different parties to remove obstacles from progress
• Assist Senior Project Manager with management of change and project execution planning
• Be main point of contact in the field between client and Construction GC
• Lead by example with regards to World Class Safety Culture
• Daily (or multi-daily) meetings/discussions with Senior Project Manager
• Assist with procurement activities, including evaluating construction bids
• Assist with monitoring of project controls and safety reporting requirements
• Ensure familiarity with client engineering and construction change order processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
• 5 years in project management, project engineering, or project planning (scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety)
• Field (construction) experience preferred
• Understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices preferred
• Familiarity with stage and gate project development process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate
• Attention to detail
