Professor - Dentistry jobs in Kansas
Professor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Requirements / Experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry
- Licensure as a dentist in the State of Kansas (or eligible to obtain)
- CPR Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
- Maintains appropriate licensure and certification, including meeting and / or exceeding CME requirements
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Ability to work independently, organize, monitor, and adjust work as necessary to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
- FQHC or public healthcare setting experience preferred
