Summary
The Area Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of District and Project Managers as well as individual sites. The Area Manager also ensures customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality service, and provides this service in a timely manner within the established budget.
Job Duties
· Ensure that each account is properly staffed and that company policies and procedures are followed
· Visit each account on a regular basis to inspect and evaluate contractual compliance and cleanliness
· Maintain effective employee relations with direct management reports and hourly personnel
· Conduct orientations, train employees, coach and counsel, communicate objectives, appraise job results, and create an open line of communication with employees
· Assure effective communication is maintained with account managers so that complaints are resolved in a timely manner, and accounts with serious problems are known
· Work with sales regarding proposals and bid preparations, and communicate suggested adjustments in contractual arrangements based on operational needs
· Review and evaluate all management reports such as labor, equipment, supplies, job cost, etc.
· Take corrective action where necessary to assure compliance within budget and contract standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Four to five years of management experience within the janitorial industry required. Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with Microsoft and Google products required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range $45,000 - $47,500 annually. Employer offers comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and other ancillary products subject to eligibility and enrollment.
