Natoli Engineering is seeking an experienced Production Planner!What is an ERP/MRP Planner? A Planner coordinates the production of goods from planning, to execution and tracking. They work closely with other departments to meet production schedules, and ensure that materials and resources remain "ON HAND" when needed. A Production Planner creates and/or maintains production schedules, monitors inventory, and adjusts stock cod calculations when necessary. They also analyze production data to identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce cost. The responsibilities of the Planner include (but are not limited to) the following:* Utilize the ERP/MRP system to seek demand and to generate and release manufacturing work orders* Exercise judgement within defined procedures and standard practices to determine appropriate action. * Provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both internal/external financial goals and customer delivery dates* Plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor the flow of products through the value stream* Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite the flow of materials/components to meet the production schedule* Notify sales of any schedule impacts to final sales order dates* Interact with shop floor and manufacturing management to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies and to provide additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality and Inventory* Develop and achieve departmental/company goals and controls, and make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity* Confer with all department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates, inventory levels, and solving ongoing production problems. * Support purchasing when, and if applicable* Complete status report sheets and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, and raw material to finish goods demand* Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules and prioritize work orders for optimization* Follow up as required with all teams to expedite the flow of materials and documents to meet production schedules, and customer expectations both internally and externally A successful Planner has the following:* Production and processing knowledge of raw materials, production, quality control, prior and post manufacturing costing* Techniques to maximize the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods and services* Ability to interact with internal and external teams
