**Job Summary:**
As the Production Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the fabrication department, including the layout, fitting, assembly, and welding of steel components. Your leadership will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards while adhering to safety regulations and welding codes.
**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage and supervise the fabrication team, ensuring effective team dynamics and high performance through leadership and mentoring.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of production in the steel fabrication shop, including layout, fitting, assembly, and welding processes.
- Read, interpret, and implement technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication of all components.
- Enforce compliance with safety protocols and quality standards, including AWS (American Welding Society) and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) welding codes.
- Monitor the fabrication processes to reduce waste and increase efficiency, implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fabrication, providing technical guidance and support to the team.
- Develop and maintain schedules for staff and production timelines to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with other department managers to align fabrication activities with overall project demands and timelines.
- Conduct performance reviews, facilitate staff development, and manage resource allocation effectively.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in steel fabrication management, with a proven track record in managing staff and production workflows.
- Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes, including proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS and ASME welding codes and standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
