The Printing Press Operator reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Being a Printing Press Operator performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. In addition, Printing Press Operator completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Printing Press Operator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. - Produce parts and components with precision and consistency to meet daily production quotas.
- Identify and promptly report manufacturing defects or irregularities to management for resolution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisors to support overall production goals.
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, particularly in press machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of produced parts.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and supervisors.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new machines and processes.
- Physical capability to handle materials and perform tasks required for the role.
- Good communication skills to report defects or issues to management.
