Press Operator jobs in the United States

This position works directly with the Graphic Designers to fulfill the print needs digitally. Experience with digital printers/copiers, or large format printing is a huge plus, but we will also train the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:

• This is a fast paced environment - timely actions and meeting deadlines is a must
• Work cohesively with all employees
• Complete knowledge of the digital presses and the large format printers
• Ensure color from each press is correct
• Calibrate digital presses weekly
• Read and understand each Work Order
• Ensure artwork is printing as approved by the Customer to the Graphic Designer
• Ensure the Work Orders are accurate, note changes as needed to correct work order
• Select paper and load in machines
• Run job until finished and take job to Bindery, return unused paper to proper location
• Responsible for receipt and storage of incoming paper
• Responsible for ordering large format papers and laminates
• All other duties as assigned that keeps work moving throughout and out of the facility

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Contact Konica when digital presses have issues, order Konica supplies as needed
• Bindery as needed to make sure jobs stay on schedule

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications required for the position:

• Advanced computer and internet skills

Physical Work Environment:

• Full Time position with hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Getting the correct papers to load in the digital presses
• Running the digital presses and large format machines
• Ensuring the correct approved files are being printed
• Unloading the completed jobs from the digital presses
• Returning unused papers to the correct storage location
• Helping in Bindery as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
