Monitors energy levels and reports needs or excesses and conducts market analysis to identify fluctuations in cost and availability of power sources. Being a Power Trader, Sr. requires knowledge of energy trading markets and trading practices. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Power Trader, Sr. typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Power Trader, Sr. typically requires 7+ years of related experience. We are seeking interns to join our audit team for the fall semester. Candidates selected for this position will gain hands-on experience performing various client work for our external audit group’s clients, which may include non-profit, financial institutions (including SEC-registrants), employee benefit plan, manufacturing, and a variety of other clients. Internships will begin September 2024 and will end in November 2024.
Responsibilities May Include- Perform select sections and steps of the financial statement audit
- Maintain ongoing communication and keep firm management apprised of fieldwork status
- Accurately prepare a variety of reports for management’s review, using established firm policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- This internship is in-person; candidates must be able to be in the office on a regular basis
- Internship to start during candidate’s junior or senior year of school; candidates completing their master’s program will also be considered
- GPA 3.0 or greater is preferred
- Availability to work a minimum of 16 hours per week and at least 4 hours per shift during normal work hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM); set schedule is required
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with good time management skills
