About the role
The Senior Specialist, Marketing and Communications will assist with the planning, development, and execution of brand marketing and corporate communications activities for Intersect Power. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications and will work closely with team members across the organization.
Department Overview
The External Affairs Team is currently composed of team members in Employee Communications, Marketing and Communications, and Community Engagement.The Senior Specialist, Marketing and Communications will be a key team member with the External Affairs Team which oversees all brand marketing, community engagement, internal and external corporate communications at Intersect Power. The department closely collaborates cross-functionally and at every level throughout the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:- Contribute to the planning and execution of the marketing and communications strategy with a focus on corporate communications, branding/corporate marketing, and thought leadership.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the speaking, awards, and thought leadership strategies.
- Write compelling, grammatically correct, and on-brand content for award submissions, fact sheets, press releases, one-pagers, company website, social media, and marketing collateral.
- Liaise with external graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to develop brand materials.
- Develop and maintain brand collateral including presentations, letterhead, bios, photos, and videos.
- Support traditional media campaigns and track and measure media coverage.
- Oversee Intersect’s social media strategy and content calendar, develop content, and track performance.
- Establish and maintain Intersect’s social media employee advocacy program.
- Lead the execution of sponsorships including event management and sponsorship activation, as well as coordinate pre and post event communications.
Qualifications and Skills:- 5 years of experience in public affairs, communications, or marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in public affairs, communications, marketing, or similar discipline or related work experience.
- Ability to develop corporate collateral, content marketing and copywriting with respect to brand materials, messaging, one-pagers, press releases, etc.
- Experience with design and visual media best practices is an asset.
- Highly organized with the ability to successfully prioritize and manage competing deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well cross-functionally in a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Salary & Benefits: - Salary: USD$120,000 or CAD$162,000 base salary with 20% annual target bonus
