Description
We are looking for a innovative Sr. Power BI Engineer to spearhead the setup, deployment, and optimization of our client's Power BI applications in sync with the building of their data warehouse. Their Power BI utilization is at a nascent stage, hence the ideal candidate will be pivotal in instituting a robust system that will ensure the long-term success of their data analysis and reporting processes. Job Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and optimization of Power BI data visualization and analytics solutions.
- Develop and implement Power BI methodologies, best practices, and recommendations to streamline data flows and ensure data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Interface closely with clients to understand requirements and convert them into data visualizations and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with the data warehouse team, aligning the Power BI system with the data warehouse build-out.
- Deliver training to end-users to foster data literacy and increase Power BI adoption.
- Provide ongoing performance tuning, upgrade, and backup management of the Power BI platform.
- Maintain documentation of procedures, services, and schemas related to Power BI.
- Oversee migration of data from legacy systems to Power BI, ensuring data accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Proven experience in Power BI application design and development.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational, multidimensional, and cloud database platforms.
- Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL, and data modeling.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
