Police Sergeant is responsible for supervising patrol officers and agents as assigned and maintaining the chain of command within the operations of the department. Responsible for developing training programs for department personnel, directing special units, preparing special reports or projects as assigned, receiving and reviewing reports from officers, and assigning personnel in accordance to specific needs. Being a Police Sergeant requires a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and/or additional certifications and at least 5-7 years of law enforcement experience. Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Lieutenant. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in law enforcement with strong leadership skills to effectively manage and oversee daily operations. Out-of-state lateral transfer or recently retired Police/Sheriff supervisors are encouraged to apply.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of law enforcement personnel
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and departmental policies
- Conduct criminal investigations and maintain accurate records

Experience:
- 10 years prior experience as a sworn law enforcement officer with a POST certificate
- 5 year experience as a field supervisor
- Knowledge of immigration law and criminal investigation techniques
- Certification in CPR, first aid, or conflict management is preferred
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
- Military experience or background in animal care is a plus
