Platemaker creates offset or flexo press plates according to job specifications and established procedures using platemaking, testing and computer equipment. Performs quality inspection of plates to ensure they meet specifications and to identify any imperfections. Being a Platemaker maintains production records according to required protocols. Cleans processing equipment and maintains supply inventory. Additionally, Platemaker follows all required quality and safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Platemaker works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Starting Rate:- $21.25/hour
- $2.00/hr. shift differential when working 2nd and 3rd shifts!
- Willard, OH
- Operate CTP equipment to expose sensitized metal plate from digital files to produce offset printing plates.
- Review images produced on plate for defects or errors that will manifest during the printing process.
- Maintain production documentation.
- May replenish chemical solutions in automatic plate processors and perform routine light maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds
- Learn and be able to maintain/make adjustments to end of press automation
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift
- Ability to rotate shifts and or days
- Work overtime when scheduled
