Plant Superintendent jobs in Kentucky
Plant Superintendent supervises and coordinates workers' activities in all phases of plant operations. Develops and manages production and maintenance schedules to meet internal volume, cost, and quality goals. Being a Plant Superintendent utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and achieve production goals. Troubleshoots operational, materials, equipment, and staffing problems and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Plant Superintendent implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Plant Superintendent manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Plant Superintendent typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Water Distribution Superintendent
The Frankfort Plant Board has an opening for a full-time Water Distribution Superintendent. The successful candidate is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of the Water Distribution Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, construction and maintenance of the water distribution system and insure that operations are in compliance with established procedures and standards and federal, state and local laws and administrative regulation
Qualified applicants must have a high school or equivalent, plus 9 to 10 years of directly related Water Distribution experience and 3 years related management experience. Must possess and maintain a Class IV Distribution license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and a valid Kentucky Driver’s license.
The starting salary is $3,608.00 Bi-Weekly ($93,808.00 annually) plus an excellent benefits package including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance and membership in the KY Retirement System. All applicants must be able to successfully complete drug screening and background investigation. Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver's license.
