Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Controller to join our engineering industry team. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits. The candidate will report to the SVP of Manufacturing Finance and will be responsible for financial reporting, business analysis, forecasting, cost accounting, material management, strategic planning, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial reporting process for the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and company policies
• Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Develop and maintain forecasting models to ensure accurate financial projections
• Oversee the cost accounting process, including Bill of Materials, Labor and Overhead accounting
• Manage material management processes, including inventory control and procurement
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant performance
• Utilize Six Sigma and Lean Accounting methodologies to drive efficiency and reduce waste
• Lead month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
• Provide financial planning and analysis support to plant management and corporate finance team
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of experience in a Plant Controller role or related experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Experience with financial reporting, business analysis, forecasting, and cost accounting
• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
