Plant Accountant provides accounting services for a plant. Responsibilities include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Being a Plant Accountant complies and prepares analysis and reports of accounting activity and data. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reconciliations. Additionally, Plant Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plant Accountant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of Outrigger Hospitality Group. Also to assist with special projects as needed.
Job Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience highly preferred. Three years previous work experience in a responsible accounting position within the hotel industry is preferred. Ability to read and analyze financial statements and statistical information and other day to day correspondence. Ability to understand multi-tiered allocation schemes. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is essential. Ability to provide written documentation to communicate with various customers, vendors, guests, owners, resort managers, and resort executives and maintain information on general ledger journal entries, monthly account analysis, tax information, and any type of special analysis required from time to time. Ability to sit for long periods of time (98% of the typical workshift) while working on the computer, processing of paperwork and communicating with various customers via a telephone. Other duties as assigned.
