Planner/Scheduler - Construction collects and analyzes information used to plan and schedule construction projects. Generates forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation used to monitor and manage projects. Being a Planner/Scheduler - Construction researches and reports on economic, legal, and other factors that may impact project success. Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects and the reduction of issues due to scheduling errors. Additionally, Planner/Scheduler - Construction understands and utilizes standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools. Prepares plans and schedules for small and routine projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Planner/Scheduler - Construction works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     FedVet, recognized for its expertise in federal projects, is seeking a seasoned construction superintendent (tri-hat) for projects located in Hawaii. The ideal candidate should have experience in federal contracting, particularly with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) / National Cemetery. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Procore, Project Microsoft Schedule (plus) / Three Week Look Ahead, QCM, safety.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the successful execution of federal construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.
    • Maintain the project RFI and Submittal logs.
    • Maintain the project schedule, three weeks look ahead and lean board updated weekly.
    • Manage and plan crew workers, subcontractors, and suppliers with the Project Manager and customer to ensure efficient project completion within budget and schedule constraints.
    • Maintain a strong focus on on-site safety programs, ensuring compliance with all federal safety regulations and fostering a safety-first culture among the project team.
    • Conduct regular inspections to assess project progress, identify potential challenges, and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design changes, technical issues, and constructability challenges.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress photos, progress reports, and as-built drawings, utilizing Microsoft 365 and Procore proficiency to manage project records effectively.
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the construction team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Always provide support to team members.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in federal contracting, with specific experience on VA / National Cemetery projects.
    • Must have valid certification in OSHA 30; USACE EM-385-1 (Plus).
    • Familiar with VA permit processing
    • Demonstrated experience with concrete demolition, minor grading, drainage, concrete, asphalt (minor),
    • In-depth understanding of VA processes, specifications, and standards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Procore, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools for project management and documentation.
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proven leadership abilities, inspiring and motivating the construction team to achieve project goals.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with concrete.
    • Experience with VA National Cemetery.

    Additional Job Information:

    Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 annually
