Join a Collaborative Team in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Due to increased clinical needs and research efforts, we are adding a medical physicist to join Northwest Medical Physics Center (NMPC) at an APEx accredited clinic in the Olympia, Washington, area. You'll collaborate with 4 experienced physicists, a medical physics assistant, and a therapy physics resident, utilizing Varian Linacs (TrueBeam and 3 iXs) with SGRT (AlignRT) to deliver treatment (IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS/SRT) to over 100 patients daily. Eclipse is used with an Aria EMR and a suite of products from Radformation (Autocontour, EZFluence, ClearCalc, ClearCheck). The sites utilize SNC equipment for Daily QA (DQA3), Patient QA (MapCheck, ArcCheck), and Monthly QA (SNC machine). Physics equipment also includes access to a catalog of NMPC owned scanning tanks, motion phantoms, IC profiler, chambers, etc. 

Ideal candidate education and experience: 

• Masters level degree (minimum) from a CAMPEP accredited university, PhDs are encouraged to apply as we are strengthening NMPC’s Department of Education and Research 
• Successful completion of a CAMPEP accredited residency program  
• ABR Board certification (or CCPM) or in process of obtaining ABR certification 
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills 
• Willingness to assist other NMPC clinics for vacation coverage and commissioning 
• Willingness to mentor physics residents and summer interns (modeled after the AAPM Summer Internship Program)

• Full scope of on-site clinical medical physics support
