Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments, including follow-up visits and consultations
-Required to perform prio authorizations for surgeries/advanced imaging/durable medical equipment
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability and proper allocation of resources
- Manage appointment cancellations and rescheduling requests
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic medical records system (Epic)
- Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments and scheduling
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or scheduling preferred
- Familiarity with medical records management and terminology
- Proficiency in using scheduling software or systems (e.g., Dentrix, Epic)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail
