Physician - Ophthalmology examines patients' eyes to ensure eye health, to treat injuries and to identify eye irregularities. Prescribes glasses, contacts or surgery to correct vision.   • Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is currently looking for a Licensed Pediatrician to join our amazing team of providers, in our Lander, WY location! We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), meaning all malpractice claims are subject to federal procedural law.

    Our mission is to provide affordable and high-quality patient care with a comprehensive range of health care services for residents of Central Wyoming, regardless of income, tearing all patients with compassion, dignity, and respect.

    We are seeking a Licensed Pediatricianto provide direct delivery of patient care services to children, from infancy through adolescence.

    Work is performed in a typical outpatient clinic environment and periodically at locations outside the office. Some travel may be required, as we have other rural health clinics located throughout central Wyoming.

    Essential Duties Will Include

    • Perform all duties in accordance with the accepted standard of care for the medical profession and the specialty.
    • Exercise and have complete control over the diagnosis and treatment of each patient.
    • Shall NOT give assurances outside of provider's scope of practice.
    • Maintain the credentialing required and engage in education as appropriate.
    • Be self-sustaining as measured by contract production goals.
    • Engage in quality measures and outcomes as directed by CQI.
    • Documentation and coding are timely and complete.
    • Actively engage in organizational electronic health record.
    • Maintain an open practice in which the employee shall not refuse to accept new patients.
    • Explain expected duration of procedures, visits, and delays to patient in a calming manner.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required.

    • Must be a graduate of a recognized and accredited medical school for Physicians, followed by successful completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
    • Must be able to demonstrate competency in the clinic skills necessary to perform a range of primary care services for patients.
    • Licensure by the State of Wyoming and by the DEA is required.
    • Demonstrated work record showing good attendance, punctuality, dependability, and the ability to collaborate well with a team management concept, while maintaining good relationships with superiors, subordinates, and co-workers.
    • The scope of training rotations must be applicable to the nature of patient needs in this setting.
    • Ability to read analyze and interpret general medical and other professional journals and governmental regulations.
    • Ability to draft reports, dictate concise and accurate patient chart notes.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, patients, third party payers, vendors, and the public.
    • Ability to apply basic statistical and mathematical concepts to patient data, test results, and other related information.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where sometimes only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and enhance teamwork throughout the clinic setting.
    • Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively, and sensitively, to special population groups served by CHCCW (special population groups include, but is not limited to, those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, sexual orientation, economic standing, disabilities, etc.)
