Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Geriatrics's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. BSHRI is just one of 30 NIH-funded national Alzheimers Disease Research Centers in the nation. Research at the Institute is funded by grants from such agencies and foundations as the National Institutes of Health, the Foundation for NIH, the Michael Fox Foundation, and philanthropic foundations.
The institute maintains collaborations with internationally recognized centers such as at Johns Hopkins University, Boston University, Washington University in St. Louis, Brigham and Womens Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
