Physical Therapy Attendant assists in the treatment of patients under the direction of physical therapists. Supports physical therapy care by preparing treatment areas, equipments, and materials. Being a Physical Therapy Attendant may be responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment. Prepares and sanitizes treatment rooms for the patients. Additionally, Physical Therapy Attendant helps maintain the treatment records of the patient. May perform various clerical duties such as greeting patients and scheduling appointments. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Physical Therapy Attendant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. · Assist in carrying out physical therapy rehabilitation related activities and duties which are in accordance with supervising Physical Therapist plan of care for each patient, in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
· Duties include:
o Supervising and demonstrating safe and proper use of equipment and exercises
o Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment within the clinic
o Learn how to properly and safely setup modalities that patients will use during their treatment session

· Additional Qualifications/Preferred:
o Experience working with patients of various backgrounds
o Be able to handle multiple tasks at a time…adaptable
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· High School Graduate
· Must have competent computer and clerical skills
· Preferred: Experience with use of medical billing software and Electronic Medical Record Software (WebPT)
· Demonstrate and represent the culture of the clinic, which has been in business for 38 years.
· Able to be in clinic M-F
