Pharmacist - Home Care jobs in Mississippi
Pharmacist - Home Care compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and pharmaceutical supplies per physician's instructions for patients in a home care setting. Provides consultation and answers inquiries from patients, families, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding drugs and their use. Being a Pharmacist - Home Care maintains all required documentation and data on prescriptions, inventory, and patients. Adheres to the Joint Commission standards for Home Care and complies with all regulatory guidelines and procedures. Additionally, Pharmacist - Home Care requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Typically reports to a manager. Pharmacist - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacist at Sartin's Vital Care located in Gulfport, MS. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication preparations, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, counseling patients and caregivers, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical principles and practices
- Experience in compounding and preparing sterile medications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Experience with electronic pharmacy systems
- PharmD degree and active pharmacy license in the state of Mississippi
