Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers. Being a PC Maintenance Technician maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity. May perform system setups for new hires. Additionally, PC Maintenance Technician may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or supervisor. The PC Maintenance Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Local Manufacturing Company is looking for a competent PC Technician (Tier 1) position to provide fast and useful technical assistance. An excellent PC Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented.
Qualifications And Responsibilities
• Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the ticketing system
• Advanced knowledge maintaining and configuring PCs and Laptops; including but not limited to Windows 7 and newer, networking, Office apps (especially Microsoft Exchange), Internet and anti-virus
• Superior customer service skills, ability to troubleshoot and explain complex issues to non-technical individuals
• Solid experience with Active Directory
• Experience maintaining Office 365 user accounts
• Basic understanding of Windows 2008-16 servers
• Basic understanding of network switches, routers, firewalls and VPN
• Solid written and oral communication skills
• Solid interpersonal and team skills
• Solid documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Proven ability to be self-motivated and self-sufficient
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of support experience
