Our client, a well-known Legal Organization, has an immediate need of an experienced Payroll Processor for a daily in-office attendance schedule for a contract-to-hire position backfilling an open head count. The Payroll Processor will support the dynamic payroll department team of four people. The ideal candidate will have established and demonstrable strengths in corporate payroll processing across multiple states and be experienced with ERP systems and ADP. PAYROLL PROCESSOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for processing bi-weekly multi-state payrolls including compiling and data entry of payroll data into GL System, support payroll taxes bonuses, all deductions and utilize the time and attendance system (WorkForce).
• Administers and controls the adjustment pay and termination pay process, including review of on/offboarding employees as directed.
• Reviews and analyzes additions and any changes to the payroll data system for example salary, hours worked, OT, bonus pay, benefits administration, 401k, payroll taxes, garnishments and levies and any changes to exemption status, insurance coverage, etc.
• Partner with HR and other departments to ensure payroll accuracy. Run payroll reporting bi-weekly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Perform ad hoc requests pertinent to payroll matters.

PAYROLL PROCESSOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of experience in payroll processing.
• 3 years minimum required of payroll processing experience.
• Legal of Financial Services industries preferred.
• PeopleSoft and ADP WorkForce Now experience highly preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office suite.
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
• Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of leadership.
• Ability to function as a team player.
