Pathology Assistant under the supervision of a pathologist assists with preparing and dissecting surgical specimens. Prepares and selects tissue samples for analysis. Being a Pathology Assistant may record findings or sterilize equipment. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program. Additionally, Pathology Assistant may require certification as a pathologist assistant. Typically reports to a pathologist. To be a Pathology Assistant typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the Pathology Assistant will serve with an outstanding team of Medical Lab Techs and Clinical Lab Specialist. With the Unit Manager and Educator, this person will receive plenty of clinical support in the Laboratory Department.
This is a great opportunity for a strong Pathology Assistant to move to a well-run and high quality department. The Pathology Assistant will work in a cutting edge unit. Collaborating with a skilled team, this Pathology Assistant will find a unit that feels like a family.
The Pathology Assistant will serve an essential role in the Laboratory Department, part of a team responsible for producing Laboratory results to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. The Pathology Assistant will incorporate evidence based practice into their care and work closely with the Pathologist.
Located in the NE corner of Wyoming, the Pathology Assistant will enjoy some of the Nation’s most famous Monuments including the Devils Tower National Monument. The area has also been named an up and coming regional foodie destination.
