Job Overview:
First Evangelical Church of San Gabriel Valley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastor to join our church community. The Pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and guidance to our congregation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead worship services, including preaching and conducting ceremonies
- Provide spiritual leadership through teaching and shepherding in partnership with the Senior Pastor, other lead pastors and leaders.
- Provide spiritual counseling and support to congregation members
- Offer hospice care and bereavement support to those in need
- Conduct Christian counseling sessions for individuals and families
- Manage and oversee church programs and events
- Write and deliver sermons that inspire and educate
- Engage in crisis management when needed
- Plan and organize various church events in an multi-ethnic, multi-generational Church.
Experience:
- Must have M.Div
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of ministerial experience providing spiritual leadership through teaching, shepherding and discipleship.
- Proven experience in pastoral leadership and public speaking
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences
- Ability to provide hospice care, bereavement support, and crisis management
- Experience in event planning within a religious context
- Proficiency in working with the Senior Pastor, other pastors and leaders to oversee the body of Christ.
