    Packaging Manager

    Our Packaging Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the finished flower units, assisting the packaging team with any tasks related to the bagging machine, trouble shooting machine issues, and the accurate entry of all METRC transactions. The Packaging Manager will help guide the packaging team effectively in a high-paced and demanding environment and supervises the day-to-day packaging processes in accordance with company standards.

    Your role in caring for our company:

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    Department Management & Execution

    • Maintain clean working environment and ensure safety and compliance.
    • Responsible for following all standard operating procedures (SOP) operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
    • Supervise the packaging team.
    • Ensure equipment is clean and calibrated at start of day, between strains, and end of day.
    • Overseeing cleaning of stations and scale machines in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
    • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and cleaning logs.
    • Maintain daily production logs and report information to management.
    • Verify start weight and end weight of source package, as well as piece count for all unit-based inventory.
    • Confirm all packaging is compliant prior to transportation; verify that all products are labeled and sealed properly with all required information.
    • Analyzes data collected during each phase of the packaging process to prevent divergence.
    • Tracks the production speed of individual associates.
    • Completes production logs for each phase to be used for METRC support.
    • Identify issues with the machines in partnership with machine operators and packaging associates as they present themselves and work through solutions in partnership with management.
    • Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°-85°.

    Team Leadership & Performance Analytics

    • Foster a culture of professionalism, guiding teams to achieve optimal results.
    • Understand and own every aspect of the teams performance; set targets, drive execution, and hold the team accountable for both individual and team results.
    • Collaborate effectively with the Human Resources Department and appropriate partners to implement and manage the company's policies and procedures.
    • Partner with the Human Resources Department to monitor staff performance, provide timely feedback, along with development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance evaluations, and administer salary adjustments.
    • Retain and develop top performers by understanding individual's motivations and providing actionable feedback.
    • Addresses low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies.
    • Manage employee's scheduling, basic time off requests, performance reviews, etc.

    All other duties as necessary.

    Qualifications we ask you to have:

    • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
    • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
    • We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
    • We ask that you have a minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
    • We ask that you have excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, personal integrity, and business acumen.
    • Three (3) years industry experience preferred
    • One (1) year of METRC experience preferred
    • Two (2) years data entry experience preferred

    Addition skills which will help you excel in your role:

    • Ability and comfort with using power-operated machine tools.
    • Comfortable using technology/computers to operate machine(s).
    • Comfortable working around high-speed machinery.
    • Comfortable with heights (up to 12 feet).
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, our machinery is delicate!
    • Ability to foster collaboration, be a team player, though also independent and self-motivated.
    • Coachable and can take full ownership of personal development, regularly soliciting feedback from teammates including those supervising, colleagues, and supervisor/s.
    • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers.
    • Strong work ethic, integrity, and desire to be accountable, transparent, and proactive.
    • Ability to work at a fast pace in a high production environment!
    • We ask that you do not have allergies to plant materials or nitrile gloves; this position requires daily exposure to plant material, plant extracts and nitrile gloves.

    Work Schedule/Location:

    • On-site 5 days a week.

    • This position is similar to an assembly line, in that it will be completing repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
    • This position requires the ability to work in a cannabis growing facility, there will be strong odors, bright lights, and various noises throughout the workday.
    • This position will require PPE to be worn throughout the workday to include scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets while working with the products. DCM will provide scrubs, masks, gloves, and hair nets to all employees.
