Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • JOB SUMMARY:

    The Director of Development and Organizational Advancement research, plans, and develops grant proposals to address opportunities, gaps in funding, and innovative approaches to programming. The Director of Development and Organizational Advancement will plan, design, and implement the financial development, marketing, community relations, and communications activities of the agency, and provides IT computer hardware and software support, and application-level support for personal computers. The Director of Development and Organizational Advancement will have solid knowledge and a proven track record of researching best practices and standards in the human services field. The Director will be responsible for resolving compliance issues associated with all regulatory agencies in relation to Three Rivers Youth. The Director will be in charge of data management and statistics. The Director maintains responsibility for research and evaluations for current programs within Three Rivers Youth and advances the innovative practices of the organization. The Director is responsible for Performance Quality Initiatives (PQI) throughout Three Rivers Youth.

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

    • Is a member of the Executive Team. Works closely with all members of the Executive Team to research and manage necessary fields of data, statistics, and best practices, and to aid in resolving any non-compliance issues that may arise, and to be proactive in maintaining conditions to remain in compliance.
    • Systematically plans for financial development, both annual and long range, includes public relations, community relations, fundraising, and planned giving.
    • Plans, designs, implements, and evaluates the agency’s fund drives, including capital campaigns, annual operating fund drives, appeals to the community and Board. Oversees the planning, design, and implementation of fundraisers, including special events sponsored by the agency. Plans, implements, and manages the agency’s planned giving programs, including memorial gifts, wills and bequests, and other deferred giving arrangements.
    • Oversees and manages donations of goods and services to the agency, recording and acknowledging solicited and unsolicited donations, including holiday gift programs and donated tickets to special events.
    • Provides planning, direction, implementation, reporting, and evaluation of the agency’s marketing activities, including use of varied media, social, etc.
    • Provides planning, direction, implementation, reporting and evaluation of the agency’s communications and public relations activities, including public relations activities, including public speaking, radio and TV appearances, public service announcements, media relations, updating and production of print and audiovisual materials, program tours and presentations, and external and internal newsletters.
    • Will work to maintain the data management system for all Three Rivers Youth departments for the purposes of accreditation and monitoring.
    • Sets up, maintains, and supports existing new computers and related equipment throughout the agency.
    • Analyzes and solves users’ software and application problems, refers to external IT consultants when necessary. Provides hardware/software support for all agency computers. Orders, installs, and distributes new computer equipment and software throughout the agency, refers to external IT consultants when necessary.
    • Ensures system protection through implementation of anti-virus software.
    • Maintains/updates Three Rivers Youth website and refers to external IT consultants/ website consultants when necessary.
    • Protects the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information of the system network, personal and confidential information, and personal computers.
    • Will consistently do assessments, evaluations, and monitoring of current programming to maintain current statuses in all departments.
    • Research and aids in the development of effective new program models.
    • Will keep an ongoing record of all data and perform statistical analysis as needed, and for the purposes of quality improvement.
    • Maintains responsibility as primary personnel for coordination of all PQI standards and resolutions.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • As relevant and assigned, performs other duties that advance the brand, integrity and innovation of the organization.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, and walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; the employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds or more. Visual requirements include the ability to read printed or written materials. Proper diction and command of the English language is required. Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The Director of Development and Organizational Advancement has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a preferred master’s degree in a relevant field. The individual possesses high quality verbal and written communication and statistical analysis skills and experience. The individual possesses a range of other skills including problem solving, creativity, well organized, methodical, commitment to time sensitive projects, commitment to the mission and vision of the agency, interpersonal skills enabling the development and sustainment of relationships. The individual possesses project management skills to coordinate, and successfully execute large scale projects (COA Accreditation, annual events, etc.) A valid PA driver’s license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance are required.

    All required clearances must be current including Act 33/34 Child Abuse Clearance and Pennsylvania Criminal History Clearance, and FBI Clearance.
