Organizational Development Director jobs in California

Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • Strong writing skills to produce high-level plans, reports, proposals, and recommendations.
    • Demonstrated experience and skill in working with senior leadership and the ability to manage challenging projects and processes.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and executive initiatives and programs within identified timelines and budgets.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and application of continuous improvement principles and methodologies.
    • Strong knowledge and competence in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including data collection and processing, measurement and evaluation, and business analytics.
    • Strong analytical skills to develop strategies, credible solutions, and recommendations for actions.
    • Demonstrated ability and success in managing an experienced group of professionals.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and application of learning theory and organizational performance.
    • Ability to development partnerships with a diverse group of organizational leaders and stakeholders in a collaborative work environment.
