Position Summary:
This position will provide configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for enterprise-level access control, video management, and database applications for new and existing clients while working alongside internal teams, external teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
Job Requirements / Responsibilities:
· Possess a thorough understanding regarding the installation and service of standard Electronic Security technology to include, but not limited to, Access Control, Video Management, Intercom, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
· Possess an understanding of IT / Networking for purposes of system layout and troubleshooting.
· Setup of hardware and operating system and initial software & configuration.
· Configure and Troubleshoot Access Control, Video, and IDS systems.
· Collaborate with engineers and sales for security design and integration.
· Provide demonstrations of system capabilities for current and potential clients.
· Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, technicians, and management.
· Provide technical support to field technicians and client operational personnel.
· Perform physical security system support to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
Education/Experience:
· A minimum of 2-3 years of previous Security Installer / Service Technician experience.
· A minimum of 1 year of programming experience.
· Experience and/or Certifications preferred with one or more of the following systems:
· Must be able to pass security and background checks.
Skills:
· Ability to manage time and multiple tasks without supervision.
· Strong technical and communication skills.
· Organized & detail oriented.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Experience in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc. preferred.
· Experience in remote access tools such as RemotePC, TeamViewer, etc.
· Good understanding of electrical knowledge as it pertains to security systems (wiring, voltage, resistance, etc.).
