Online Pharmacist compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs per physician's instructions for online or mail order subscription orders. Manages a high volume of prescriptions. Being an Online Pharmacist does not typically interact with customers. May supervise technicians and oversee operational activities including data entry, order fulfillment, and shipping. Additionally, Online Pharmacist requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Job Description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Pharmacist at The Alexandria Staging Facility in Alexandria, Louisiana in support of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Detention Center.
This position offers:
- Full-time opportunity, 40 hours per week
- Part-time and PRN scheduling is available
- Consistent and predictable income

- Full complement of benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, 401k and more for those working at least 28 hours per week on a consistent basis.
The Position will have the following requirements:
- S. in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree from a program that is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a licensed practicing pharmacist.
- Active TX Pharmacy License
- Maintains BLS
Key Duties Include
- Expert knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics and all management aspects related to the practice of pharmacy in a clinic/infirmary setting.
- Knowledge of and competent in understanding and communicating pharmaceutical nomenclature, including generic, chemical & trade names, Latin abbreviations, dosage forms, drug strengths, formulations & English-Metric equivalents.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling & punctuation to identify and correct errors to insure accurate copy.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
- Ability to utilize telephonic interpreter/translation services to complete assigned duties if not fluent in a language the patient understands.
