Online Merchandising Manager develops strategy and manage the execution of online/site merchandising to achieve online marketing and sales goals. Creates and optimizes the product assortments and categories for the online product catalog. Being an Online Merchandising Manager utilizes analytics to monitor traffic, customer behavior, sales trends, and feedback and to gain customer insights. Ensures that merchandise plans support key strategic initiatives, launches, top sellers, seasonal campaigns and trends. Additionally, Online Merchandising Manager collaborates on the development of open to buy inventory (OTB) and purchasing plans and budgets. Recommends site and usability enhancements. Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, merchandising, business or other related field. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Online Merchandising Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Main Purpose of Job

    The Online Learning Manager is responsible for managing and enhancing the online learning programming of the Department of Human Services Learning Office. They provide strategic recommendations and guidance on online learning best practices to the Chief Learning Officer (CLO), Deputy Chief Learning Officer (DCLO), and other stakeholders. Additionally, they oversee the design and updates of online courses, collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance. The Online Learning Manager also offers expert consultation in needs assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation of online training programs to uphold the Department's commitment to high-quality training initiatives. They monitor 508 compliance for all training materials posted on 'The HUB' and serve as a backup Administrator for the platform, contributing to its effective maintenance and implementation.

    POSITION DUTIES

    Manages and is accountable for the online learning programming of the Department of Human Services Learning Office. Oversees the design and update of online courses utilizing Articulate, HTML/JavaScript, and Adobe Captivate. Provides consultation to others in the areas of needs assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation of online training programs to ensure the provision of high-quality online training programs within the Department.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Applicants must meet all minimum (and selective) qualifications to be considered, and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying. Experience:�Three years and six months of experience, two years of experience in web page design, development and programming and�an additional eighteen months of experience using software which�converts other documents into web pages; or using web page developmental software; or writing HTML code; or converting data from project specifications by preparing program code using�computer programming languages; or evaluating, implementing and maintaining computer hardware and software; or operating, manipulating, and controlling computer systems. Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and completion of an approved certification program for Web Professionals sufficient to provide the necessary skills to build and manage an organization’s web site and to coordinate with inside and outside resources to accomplish that organization’s web goals for the additional eighteen months of the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute additional experience in web page design, development and programming�on a year-for-year basis for a high school education. 3. Candidates may substitute the possession of an Associate of Arts from an accredited college or university in Web Development, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology related field to include course work in web page design, development and programming and two years of experience in web page design, development and programming for the required experience. 4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Cyber and�Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

    DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications. One year of experience with web design using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) code. One year experience with training and development. One year of experience utilizing adult learning principles or instructional design methodologies.

    Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
