Love Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapy Supervisor who has a passion for helping people. In general, we are seeking someone to assist patients as they regain the ability to perform activities of daily living, have the capacity to be a motivational figure, demonstrate skilled patience, naturally have a nurturing personality, and have the ability to solve problems independently. In addition, as a supervisor you will oversee several occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants. As supervisor you will work with front office staff to ensure efficient scheduling of therapists/assistants and patients, contribute to hiring decisions, and answer technical questions and provide advice from therapy staff.
More specifically the Occupational Therapy Supervisor will perform various tasks that help patients get back to or learn to do things that are important to them.
Duties and Responsibilities of the job may include:
- Performing evaluations and re-evaluations to establish goals, qualify patients for therapy, to include both standardized and clinical observations.
- Coordinate with front office staff to ensure efficient scheduling or therapists/assistants and patients.
- Supervise and provide guidance to OTRs.
- Supervise and provide guidance for COTAs.
- Partner with clients and families to formulate and implement individualized goals with focused, targeted, and measurable outcomes.
- Providing direct client care in collaboration with clients and families to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Ensuring that clients are receiving effective and efficient care.
- Utilizing research to formulate and implement evidence-based practice.
- Problem-solving with members of other disciplines (Speech therapy).
- Documenting workload statistics according to the Medicaid guidelines.
- Writing and filing reports on an electronic health record as required.

Requirements:
- Must have a valid Texas License in occupational therapy, a degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate), have passed the NBCOT, and have 5 years of experience as an OTR.
