Additionally, Obstetrics/Gynecology Director typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Obstetrics/Gynecology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Obstetrics/Gynecology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in Rehab, Long Term Care (LTC), Geriatrics, and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) in a non-traditional setting. As the DON, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and management of our healthcare services, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality of care to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role in nursing, a strong understanding of the finance industry, and a passion for improving the lives of the elderly.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services.
- Oversee the coordination and management of healthcare services, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other members of the management team to develop strategic plans and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of nursing professionals, promoting a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and assess the quality of care delivered, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the nursing field, implementing best practices to improve care delivery.
- Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage budgets, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.
- Establish relationships with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, regulators, and the community.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role in nursing, preferably in Rehab, LTC, Geriatrics, or SNF.
- Active RN license
