Job Summary: The Unit Secretary assists with the day-to-day operation of various clinical areas of the Nursing Home. The incumbent uploads documents from the computer system, inputs to our Emergency Medical Record, maintains resident charts and records, and processes forms and paperwork for unit. Facilitates the flow of information between physicians, nursing staff and others concerning resident care, and performs other job-related duties as requested. Schedules appointments and transportation. Helps during the admission process, ensuring that room is ready. Welcomes residents to the unit and orientates them to our services. 30-37.5 hours weekly.
Specifications: High school graduate with some additional, specialized training preferred. Nursing home experience preferred. Well organized individual with excellent communication skills. Proficiency in the English language required.
