Nurse Recruiter recruits qualified applicants for licensed practical nurses, graduate nurse positions, or positions requiring registered nurse licensure. Places advertisements, attends job fairs, and heads in-house recruitment efforts. Being a Nurse Recruiter interviews candidates and refers them to the appropriate clinical service. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nurse Recruiter typically reports to a manager. May require RN license. The Nurse Recruiter gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Description
Organizes recruitment for the Nursing Departments. Recruits, interviews and screens job applicants to fill existing health system nursing department job openings. Responsible for advertising and job postings. As required, serves as health system representative at job fairs/hiring events. Maintains employee confidentiality. Regarding patient health information, has access to demographics, billing, and limited clinical data relevant to the current encounter. Must be available for all other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field required from an accredited institution.
- Registered Nurse preferred
- Experience in interviewing job applicants.
- Recruiting experience desired.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and business software.
- General understanding of federal and state labor/employment laws.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to travel as needed (including evenings/weekends).
- Must be willing to take on new projects and assignments as needed.
