Nurse Practitioner - Oncology works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to manage care for patients in an oncology setting. Provides quality care in all settings for cancer patients, families and staff. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Oncology orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Oncology assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.     Position: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Employment Type: Full-time in our Massillon office location.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with our team of physicians and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive and individualized care to patients in the hematology/oncology specialty.
    • Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and prescribe appropriate medications.
    • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment options, and potential side effects.
    • Monitor patient progress, conduct follow-up visits, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated with the latest advancements in hematology/oncology research and treatment modalities.

    Qualifications:

    • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification/license in Ohio.
    • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in internal medicine/family practice or a closely related field.
    • Clinical knowledge and expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing various medical conditions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating professionalism and collaboration.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
    • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
