Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal jobs in Florida

Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of newborn patients. Provides care for newborns and infants in a neonatal setting. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice.     NNP in Growing Suburb of Tampa - Florida's Nature Coast

    Responsibilities

    We have an opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. Located on the bay side of Florida, Brooksville is centrally positioned on the Nature Coast with easy access to many crystal clear springs and a short drive south to the growing metropolis of Tampa Bay.

    • This 15-bed Level-III unit has an average daily census of 8-10 and approximately 800 annual deliveries
    • There is Neonatologist and MFM on-site support, as well as a variety of other sub-specialists
    • 16 hour shifts, with possibility of 24 hour shifts as the unit grows
    • Part-time and full-time NNP positions available

    Qualifications

    NNP candidates must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing

    NP candidates must have ample NICU experience and preferrably have completed a NICU residency
