About The Job Network And Security Engineer
We are seeking to recruit a Network and Security Engineer. As a Networks and Security Engineer , you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the network and security infrastructure that keeps our organization and clients safe from cyber threats. You will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and enhancing our clients network systems, as well as ensuring the security of our clients digital assets.
Key Responsibilities- Network Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Conduct network capacity planning and scalability assessments.
- Security Implementation:
- Deploy and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs to protect the organization's assets.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and adapt security measures accordingly.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Incident Response:
- Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and mitigate security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve security issues.
- Policy Development:
- Create and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Educate employees on security best practices and conduct security awareness training. Vendor Management:
- Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors and solutions related to networking and security.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and stay informed about product updates.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports. Create comprehensive network and security documentation for reference and training.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications, such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE, Cisco or equivalent, are preferred.
- Proven experience in network engineering and security, including designing and managing complex network environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in network and security monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
