Network Planning Analyst jobs in Washington
Network Planning Analyst plans, designs, evaluates, and optimizes network systems. Analyzes a network's performance in metrics like effectiveness, efficiency, or security and identifies areas for improvement. Being a Network Planning Analyst designs solutions to improve this performance. Communicates and collaborates with other organizational teams to understand how a network operates and fits in with organizational systems and objectives. Additionally, Network Planning Analyst develops, updates, and maintains network documentation including diagrams, policies, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Network Planning Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The Network Augment Planning team takes signals from our capacity management team and plans the success of network augments. These augments include optical/dwdm, fabric augments/additions, fabric migrations, router additions supporting backbone or internet, virtual network racks, circuit adds, through all layers of the OCI network.
Planning these network augments requires working with various teams to understand the full scope, put together bills of material, acquire space and power needed, order equipment to the site, obtain additional cabling material, and hand off the project for completion into the network.
