Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Description:

    As an integral team member of MercyOne PHSO’s Operations team, the Provider Network & Operations Coordinator assists PHSO leadership on tasks as assigned. Functions including oversight and management for the MercyOne Provider Network Directory, Compliance & auditing, and coordination of projects. Serves as a liaison between PHSO administration, Chapters, regulatory bodies, and MercyOne Partnered Provider organizations/providers as needed. This role is part of the MercyOne PHSO Operations team, reporting to the Provider Network Lead.

    Essential Position Expectations

    Provider Network Support

    • Serves as the key resource to implement and maintain an accurate, NCQA-compliant Provider Network Directory.
    • Develops and maintains intake/assessment forms to gather key information to support the Provider Network Directory.
    • Coordinates with Medical Staff Offices, Physician Recruitment and Employment, and Clinic Managers to obtain all required information as part of recruitment processes.
    • Assists in the management of PHSO Participant Agreements and Network Contracting.
    • Assists in the investigation and response to member inquiries related to the Provider Network and Directory.

    Compliance Support

    • Manages and monitors electronic Policy and Procedure handbook and other key documentation.
    • Completes documentation and user audits according to federal and state health statutes, as well as third party control provisions.
    • Assists the ACO Compliance Official in evaluating and responding to inquiries from governing bodies/regulatory agencies (i.e.: CHAN, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services)
    • Assists in the on-boarding of new ACO Participants and Providers.
    • Responds to PHSO email and phone inquiries from patients, providers and regulatory bodies.

    Project & Meeting Support

    • Assists with agenda creation, presentation of materials, and minutes for key meetings, including Provider Network Council and Chapter Governance Meetings.
    • Assists PHSO leadership with special projects, including the tracking of deliverables, compiling information and reports, etc.
    • Acts as resource in various committees and meetings to coordinate changes in ACO processes.
    • Maintains PHSO directories, websites, and Sharepoint sites with education content.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Experience in ACOs and knowledge of value-based care is preferred.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
    • Strong demonstrated verbal communication and critical thinking skills required.
    • Excellent verbal and writing skills required.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables required.
    • Excellent project management skills strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated presentation skills preferred.

    Mental & Physical Demands

    Must be able to pass a pre-employment health and drug screening at time of hire. Frequently required to carry or lift items weighing up to 10 pounds. Occasionally required to carry or lift items weighing up to 25 pounds for short distances. Occasionally required to stand or walk. Frequently required to sit in a stationary position. Occasionally performs activities that require stooping, bending and reaching, squatting, balancing, and trunk twisting throughout the day. Frequently able to detect and discern both loud and soft sounds such as phone calls and customer questions. Constantly able to use hands and fingers to type, write, and file. Frequently able to use near vision for viewing computer monitor and written materials. Occasionally required to detect unusual odors that could indicate environmental issues. Must be able to travel to the various MercyOne sites as needed. Must possess the ability to comply with MercyOne policies and procedures

    Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of educational requirements previous work history and years of experience may be considered.

    Experience: Minimum of one year of experience with a healthcare system, health plan or healthcare accrediting body. Prior experience in project coordination preferred.
