Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Requirements:   

    Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, public or health administration, planning, or related field; or master’s or doctoral degree in social work, counseling, psychology, nursing, psychiatry, or a related field.
    • Desired certifications/licensure: LP, LICSW, LPCC, MD., DPN, MSN.
    • Must have substantial experience in providing healthcare services to individuals with substance use disorders and mental health.
    • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in a project management role; preferably in business leadership and management of Tribal environments specifically dealing with Tribal leadership.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Dakota Communities, Tribal governance, and Tribal structures.
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective and sustainable training and development initiatives in a variety of settings.
    • Demonstrated broad-based functional experience in marketing, communications, and financial management.
    • Demonstrated experience in understanding the chemical dependency and mental health landscapes, issues and current developments.
    • Demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing teams, including hiring, training, and developing skilled and capable team members.

     

    Job Duties: 

    Leadership and Direction

    • Demonstrated ability to establish performance goals based on the project timeline and track/report progress against goals.
    •  Ability to provide guidance to leadership to enable them to make necessary decisions to ensure timely completion of project.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and foster innovation and initiative in others, work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment, develop relationships based on honesty and integrity, and work well under pressure and prioritize work effectively.
    • Demonstrated strong executive presence and an articulate communicator who can deliver information and required actions with confidence and authority.
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities based on the needs of the project, as well as the capacity to quickly adjust key priorities based on project needs and changing dynamics.

    Financial Oversight

    • Ability to recognize, prepare, and implement project budgets that incorporate pre-facility and facility budgetary needs as well as additional planned revenues and expenditures.
    • Ability to monitor budgets and make adjustments as additional information becomes available.
    • Ability to prepare and present financial reports to SMSC Business Council, staff, and other stakeholders.

    Grant Management

    • Prepare and submit potential grant applications to ensure they are consistent with project vision and mission.
    • Designing grant programs

    • Researching funding opportunities
    • Reporting to the board of directors
    • Coordinating and engaging with grant writers
    • Identifying support agencies
    • Optimizing the grant administration process
    • Managing timelines and deliverables
    • Preparing and monitoring budgets

    Staff Supervision and Development

    • Demonstrated expertise in recruiting experienced and capable staff.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement appropriate staff development and training that incorporates healing center vision and philosophy, as well as up-to-date practices and methodologies.
    • Demonstrated familiarity with construction process and ability to work with general contractor to complete healing center facility construction/renovation.
    • Ability to develop ongoing staff training and development plan for implementation after healing facility begins operation.

    Programmatic Leadership

    • Ability to identify and incorporate trends and opportunities that support the overall vision and mission of the healing facility.
    • Ability to develop evaluation tools to measure training/development and program effectiveness.
    • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, people management, and verbal and written communication skills.
