Requirements

Applied Network Solutions is seeking a TS/SCI polygraph cleared Network Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Position Details:

You will develop models and simulations of wide area networks, develop various analytical scenarios, and brief these results to various stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to use your creativity and innovative mindset to develop forward thinking solutions for our client and the stakeholders. We need a mid to senior level network engineer that has experience developing models for this requirement.

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in creating models and engineering solutions using networking and/or telecommunications technologies and systems.
• Experience with modeling & simulation.
• Deep knowledge of routing protocols, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, IP/MPLS.
• Understanding of network systems such as Wide Area Network (WAN), the flows, SSPs, tunnels, subnetting, bandwidth, protocols, netflow, edge routers, etc.
• Experience with requirements gathering.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Nice to Have:

• Specific Agency experience in the network domain.
• Experience of the Agency’s end-to-end network design.
• Experience with scripting or scientific languages and software, including Python, R.
• Experience and knowledge AWS, GOOGLE, Microsoft (Asure).
• Knowledge of how COLOs are designed.
• Transform, Load (ETL) processes, and quantitative workflow automation.
• Experience with: OPNET/NetPlanner, Riverbed products or other network tools, network flow and Cloud analytics.
• Experience with working in Windows and Linux OS environments.
