Network Control Technician monitors performance and performs maintenance processes to ensure network systems operate at required levels of speed and reliability. Identifies and troubleshoots network issues and follows procedures to resolve problems. Being a Network Control Technician documents network issues and configuration changes as soon as they occur. May perform upgrades, preventative maintenance, or equipment installation. Additionally, Network Control Technician follows standard operating procedures to notify users of outages or changes to network status. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Technician work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Seasonal position from May through October. Daily activities include operating ATV/UTVs, GPS, spray equipment, plant identification, handling herbicides, driving trucks/pulling trailers and working outside independently in remote areas in Montana and the greater Flathead Valley. Backpack spraying - candidates must be capable of routinely carrying a 40lb backpack while hiking long distances over rough terrain. If you like hiking - this is a great job for you.
The majority of this work is focused on forestry, range and pasture management but we also offer service to small residential communities and turf/lawns.
Some travel required.
Experience is not required - will train.
Clean driving record is required - no DUI's.
Compensation: $25-$35 DOE plus LOTS of overtime available. Opportunities for snow removal during the winter months or job-attached unemployment if work is unavailable. A resume is required to apply for this position.
