Network Control Center Supervisor supervises network control technicians in the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Oversees routine testing, configuration changes, or network hardware or software upgrades. Being a Network Control Center Supervisor ensures network traffic and performance monitoring processes are running to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Responds to incidents using standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Supervisor coordinates with vendors and service providers to ensure required service and quality levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Center Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Control Center Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Summary

    This position controls and monitors freight and inventory levels using the most cost-effective methods.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide for monitoring and inspection of produce at the dock to ensure quality standards are met and quantity is correct.
    • Responsible for all receiving and inventory adjustments to assure correctness and entry into the mainframe.
    • Accountable for daily physical cycle counts on frozen, cooler, and dry products.
    • Liable for the slotting and assigning of all new items in the warehouse, assuring the correctness of the information in the mainframe and that warehouse slots are labeled correctly.
    • Keep warehouse manager informed, as needed, of potential problems and changes.
    • Responsible for notifying customer service of potential outs.
    • Complete inventory and warehouse report daily.
    • Manage and direct all physical inventories as called for under SYGMA guidelines and directives.
    • Works closely with all departments regarding merchandise received, new items, all inventories, to assure a continuous flow of information.
    • Adhere to cycle count program.
    • Adhere to hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) and material safety data sheet (MSDS) guidelines.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • High school diploma/GED.
    • Prefer 4-year college degree in a related discipline.

    Experience

    • 3 years of inventory control experience and/or warehouse experience in food distribution.
    • 1-year experience on IBM AS400.

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

    • Warehouse equipment and possibly forklift.

    Physical Demand

    • Work is light to medium in nature with frequent walking to perform assigned tasks.
    • You must be able to communicate clearly with shippers and employees.
    • Physical inventories involve periods of prolonged standing.

    Mental/Visual Demand

    • You must be able to read text that is close and at a distance with or without correction.
    • In addition, must be able to perform a manual task, hear, sit, reach, lift, bend, and interact with others.

    Working Condition

    • Activities occur both inside (protected from weather conditions but not temperature changes) and outside.
    • An employee is subjected to extreme cold while supervising in the freezer.
    • Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current and working in high places.

    Equipment Operated

    • A calculator, copier, fax, PC, Microsoft Office applications, telephone and mainframe printer are typical equipment used in this position.
    • You may also be required to operate a pallet jack and forklift.
