Mortgage Credit Analyst jobs in West Virginia
Mortgage Credit Analyst assesses the risk and creditworthiness of loan applicants and recommends loan approval, terms, or application denial. Gathers necessary credit, income, and tax information to conduct financial assessments. Being a Mortgage Credit Analyst reviews and verifies property appraisals, collateral value, and key indicators such as debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios. Prepares a detailed credit analysis and summary using underwriting guidelines, risk assessment frameworks, and following applicable regulatory compliance. Additionally, Mortgage Credit Analyst may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Mortgage Credit Analyst work is closely managed. Assist in Commercial Loan Review, including annual reviews, new loans, loan modifications, renewals, extensions and reporting functions. Assist, as needed, in supporting the lending staff on preparing presentations within the Loan Vantage system. Assist in performing quarterly stress test reports on concentrations within the loan portfolio. Assist in preparing quarterly reports, as needed, for financial reporting purposes. Stays abreast of current developments in loan policy and procedures through reading, research and formal education. Other duties as assigned. Relationships: Credit Analyst works closely with Commercial Lenders, loan assistants and members of Holding Company Loan Committee.
