General Overview
As a Mortgage Loan Closing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless finalization of loan transactions, adhering closely to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Thoroughly review documentation and accurately calculate fees to generate Closing Disclosures in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Verify loan details and supporting paperwork, entering essential data into the system to produce precise loan packages.
- Collaborate with attorneys, mortgage professionals, and external partners to gather, review, and approve all necessary documentation for loan closure.
- Confirm fulfillment of all loan approval conditions, collection of closing documents, and accuracy of information on Loan Approval and Lock-In documents. Seek approvals for any necessary changes or updates.
- Facilitate fund transfers to attorneys for disbursement upon satisfaction of closing conditions.
- Issue loan disbursement authorization to attorneys after thorough review of executed closing documents.
- Complete post-closing adjustments to loan files as required to ensure compliance with investor purchasing criteria.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank products, services, policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory matters. Participate in mandatory compliance training and uphold the bank's standards of conduct.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated.
- Actively engage in the bank's High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
- Identify and refer customers to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management services.
- Preferably hold an Associate's Degree.
- Possess a minimum of two years' experience in mortgage loan closing.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
