Ensures the staff performs project research, design calculations, and records accuracy of mining activities. Being a Mine Foreman may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. May require certification by the MSHA. Additionally, Mine Foreman typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mine Foreman manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. We Offer:
Doe Run is currently seeking a Mine Engineer to evaluate, recommend, and manage engineering projects for the mining operations to ensure the production goals are met safely, on time and on budget. Oversee and plan ventilation improvements. This position is located at our Brushy Creek Mine in Boss, MO.
Title (Level I, II, or III) & Pay will be based on education and experience.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Etc.), Budgeting (Adaptive), Drafting (AutoCAD), Database (Pi, MS SQP Server, Access, AcQuire), HR Information System (UKG), AS400 or similar mining database, 3D Modeling (Vulcaan, Surfer, Leapfrog, ArcGIS), and PeopleSoft.
