Perfect Communications, a direct mail printing company located in Moorestown, NJ, is seeking an experienced Direct Mail Variable Data Programmer to join our team.
The ideal individual would be responsible for programming personalized direct mail jobs and be responsible for postal preparation, data-cleansing, and postal document preparation.
This includes selecting, sorting, formatting, and manipulating data to meet client mail instructions and U.S. postal requirements for mail certification.
Variable data programming includes letter and self-mailer setup for output to various print devices or digital media including websites and marketing emails.
Perform quality checks and control, code review and standard data validation practices prior to production release.
What You'll Do : :
Ability to work in Quadient Inspire to program letters and self-mailer pieces with multiple variable fields with static text and graphics and merging the setup with data for print and digital output.
Prepare and cleanse data for mailing requirements including personalization and postal presorting using BCC Mail Manager software.
Ability to analyze client data requirements for direct mail jobs
Strong skills in Access, Excel, Word, Acrobat, and Photoshop
Ability to write code in Visual Basic and C or C# (preferred)
Experience with batch processing (preferred)
Thorough understanding of postal regulations and DMM
Experience with File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
Database Management skills (highly preferred)
Perform quality checks and control, code review and standard data validation practices prior to production release.
What You Bring : :
Knowledge of USPS bulk mail regulations
Proficiency with mail processing software
Experience with BCC Mail Manager and understanding of scripting with the Taskmaster feature.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, various delimited file types (CSV, Tab, Pipe, etc.).
Must have knowledge of printing terminology and basic print specifications including margins, bleeds, etc.
Knowledge of variable data software (i.e. Quadient Inspire, XMPie, FusionPro) and Adobe Creative Suite
