About the Role
The Area Concessions Merchandiser is responsible driving sales and overseeing Claire’s Concessions locations within an assigned route as well as supervising concession merchandisers (CMs) within a specific geographic location.
The role supports the concessions District Manager in maximizing visit compliance, productivity, profitability, recruiting, retention and partner relations for the assigned area.
Drive sales and EBIDTA targets
Actively work to reduce expenses and costs for the business to maximize EBIDTA
Consistently drive high levels of operational excellence across the area
Maintain an individual route as well as manage all CMs / routes within the area, utilizing the Claire’s proprietary APP to ensure visits to assorted partners are complete within the required time
Work directly with partner store managers to build relationships and opportunities for increased selling opportunity such as in store events, promotional opportunity, and fixture location
Team leadership : recruit, onboard and train qualified CMs within area to achieve results
Ensure CM route coverage for any open CM route to maintaining partner and company visit frequency expectations
Coach and develop CMs to optimize performance and maintain Claire’s brand across all partners
Utilize internal Claire’s clarity application and portal to manage : time and attendance, quality control, expense control, merchandise standards and related performance metrics for area team of merchandisers
Provide Concessions DM regular updates on performance of merchandisers and partners, provide feedback and recommendations for improvement
About You
Minimal 6 months Claire’s concessions / Claire’s store supervisor experience or similar experience required
Must be able to travel extensively (75-100%) including overnight travel as required
Ability to stand during scheduled shifts / Ability to maneuver up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the stores.
Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and mobile tech savvy
Strong merchandising skills, able to execute and make POG decisions
Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Detail Oriented and highly organized
